The Avengers 2 is releasing that month, like several of the Iron Man films and also the first Avengers, will be starting off the summer blockbuster season.

In December, Marvel Studios adjusted their schedule of release dates for 2014 by moving their June time slot to and odd pre-summer date of early April. As we just found out from Disney today, that early April weekend is reserved for Captain America 2.

When actor Neal McDonough said a sequel to Captain America: The First Avenger could begin shooting as early as this year, he wasn’t joking. Read on for details and a brand new still from The Avengers!

Avengers: Age Of Ultron has moved forward in the UK release schedules, meaning that British audiences will get to see the film a whole week before their US counterparts. The film will now open in the UK on 24 April 2015, seven days before it arrives in US screens on 1 May.

Fans is going to be happy to hear that Whedon is going to be integral to helping organize and fasten the upcoming films from Marvel Studios. The timing of the announcement likely means he won’t be too associated with Iron Man 3 that has mostly completed principal photography, but he is able to still help guide the seemingly complex story of Thor: The Dark World which starts production this month. Next, Captain America: The wintertime Soldier and Guardians from the Galaxy could both be introducing characters and elements to become featured in The Avengers 2.

The wording from the statement specifically mentioning June 2015 because the end date of his exclusive agreement means The Avengers 2 is releasing that month, or, like several of the Iron Man films and also the first Avengers, will be starting off the summer blockbuster season in May 2015. No real surprise there.

Although The Avengers represented the only real Marvel Studios theatrical release for 2012 (since Runaways was placed on hold), 2015 will likely see a minumum of one other feature from Marvel Studios.

Marking the very first time the studio launches three films in a single year, and this enhances the questions of what other film they might fit in as a prelude towards the Avengers sequel (by releasing that spring) and whether such a movie might be used to introduce one more headliner to join the team-up’s growing roster? Will Ruffalo get the opportunity to lead The Incredible Hulk 2? Are you looking for Black Panther? Allow the speculation begin!

Ironman 3 releases May 3, 2013, Thor: The Dark World on November 8, 2013, Captain America: The wintertime Soldier on April 4, 2014 and Guardians from the Galaxy on August 1, 2014. The Avengers 2 will release in the summertime of 2015.

Marvel Studios and it has already entitled their highly-anticipated sequel towards the No. 3 highest grossing film ever, “Marvel’s The Avengers,” as another “big cinematic event.” And likely to feature the reassembly of iconic Marvel super heroes Ironman, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow and Nick Fury dealing with a new threat, new inclusions in the superhero synergy of a life time are promised.

  1. Just seen the first Avengers movie. Underwhelming. I think Captain America 2 and Incredible Hulk 2 should be made, then wait a while and make Avengers 2. People seem to love this franchise.
