Old Dads Movie Review:-

Jack (Bill Burr) is an angry middle-aged man who is constantly ranting against people, including pretentious people and vaping. He has two besties, Connor (Bobby Cannavale) and Mike (Bokeem Woodbine), who are middle-aged men and fathers in their late 40s. Their situation is a mix of relatable moments and experiences, especially for those born in the ‘prehistoric era’.

‘Old Dads’ is a mixed bag of funny and chaotic moments, unless you’re easily offended. The script by Burr and co-writer Ben Tishler is largely original, with enough extreme moments and characters to make it interesting. Burr does well portraying an easily triggered middle-aged man, while Bobby Cannavale and Bokeem Woodbine provide able support as his misogynistic and unfeminist friends.

Overall, ‘Old Dads’ is a bittersweet comedy that attempts to balance out its protagonist’s extreme views by giving him just a rap on the knuckles for his obnoxious outbursts. However, with all the tirade against the world, Bill’s rebellion without a cause ends abruptly, making his verbal onslaughts pointless in the end. It is one of those funny films that can only make a section of people laugh.
