The Royal Hotel Movie Story:-
Hanna and Liv are close friends who are traveling around Australia. After they run out of money, Liv encourages Hanna to take a temporary live-in job behind the bar at a hotel named ‘The Royal Hotel’ in a remote Outback mining town. The ladies are given a raucous introduction to Down Under drinking culture by bar owner Billy and a slew of locals, but soon Hanna and Liv find themselves locked in an unsettling position that quickly spirals out of their hands.

The Royal Hotel, directed by Australian director Kitty Green, is a psychological thriller and outback noir that has been developing as a tense and well-acted film. The movie, inspired by Hotel Coolgardie, follows the story of a chaotic pub in remote Western Australia that hires female backpackers to work behind the bar. The film features Julia Garner and Jessica Henwick as Hanna and Liv, who are forced to take a job at the Royal Hotel, dealing with the boozy miners who pack the place.
The pub is kept afloat by Carol, who is patronised and exploited like other Indigenous Australians. Liv learns to go with the flow and laugh off the misogyny, while Hanna becomes increasingly creeped out. The film’s lack of a clear plot and ultimate scares deflates the film, but the performances from Garner, Henwick, Yovich, and Weaving are admirable.
