Raja has a passionate affair with Rupsha, a lady with a criminal record, in order to get out of a failing marriage. When Rupsha is discovered dead, he becomes the major suspect. What comes next?
Chhotolok Season 1 Web Series Review:-
Chhotolok is a thriller that follows the trail of damaged souls left behind by prominent politician Mohor Bhattacharya (Indrani Haldar). The series starts slow, swinging between the present and the past to establish the events and characters leading to Rupsha’s murder. The slow-moving SI Mondol, the cop investigating the murder, gives off a homemaker vibe throughout the series. Daminee, the powerhouse of the actress, makes SI Mondol grow on the viewer.
Other actors, including Indrani, Gaurav, Priyanka Sarkar, Ushasi, and Lokenath Dey, also justify their roles and add depth to the plot. The perfect script and Indranil Roychowdhury’s direction make Chhotolok binge-worthy, with twists and turns in the way back stories are woven into the present.
The series has no crowd-pleasing OTT perks except for a few expletives, and despite establishing a steamy romance between Raja and Rupsha, there’s no scene that pushes the viewer to keep the remote control handy. Overall, Chhotolok isn’t a series you should miss.
