Mike (Josh Hutcherson) is compelled to work as a security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria since he has no other option, but he quickly realizes it’s a lot more than he bargained for.
Five Nights At Freddy’s Movie Review:-
Mike, struggling to make ends meet and trying to connect with his distant sister Abby, is offered a dead-end job at an old pizza joint. Unaware of the history of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, Mike finds himself caught in twisted circumstances. Based on the video game franchise, Five Nights at Freddy’s, the film expands on the game’s premise by adding a lead character, Mike, with an intriguing backstory that explores childhood trauma. Josh Hutcherson adds humanity to the convoluted plot, making the film engaging. Piper Rubio’s portrayal of Mike’s fractured relationship with his sister is impressive.
However, the screenplay loses grip when trying to integrate Mike and Abby’s story with the film’s main antagonists, the animatronic characters. The creepy characters shift into a somewhat humorous space, but the horror/terror elements don’t benefit the film. The A and B plots don’t add up and feel disjointed, leading to an unsatisfying and predictable climax. Even hardcore fans may be left wanting more than some nostalgic elements that tie into the game. Casual moviegoers may enjoy the dynamic between Mike and Abby, but should not expect much from the disjointed screenplay beyond the odd jump scare and some chuckles.
