Raktabeej Movie Review:-

Raktabeej is a powerful action-adventure film directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, set in remote Khoyragarh. The film explores the tension between local police and terrorists, as well as the President of India’s house. The script is tightly planned, with scenes blending different narratives and perspectives. The film features a diverse cast, including Victor Banerjee as the President of India, his older sister Anashua Majumdar, and Pankaj Sinha (Abir Chatterjee), who faces disdain from the regional police head, Sanjukta (Mimi Chakraborty).

Kanchan Mullick as the local police officer in charge steals the show with his catchphrase and Hindi language skills. Debasish Mondal as Munir Alam is a treat to watch, and other actors perform well. Songs and music are used judiciously throughout the film, with the use of poetry (Birpurush by Rabindranath Tagore) done tastefully.

Despite the film’s intent to deliver a strong message about terrorism, it lacks a backstory for the characters and completes their arcs. For those interested in seeing the filmmakers succeed in the new genre, Raktabeej is a must-watch this season.
