Kuiko Movie Story:-
A small-towner traveling to attend an IPL play ends himself in a remote hillside village waiting for the return of a guy from overseas to administer his mother’s funeral rites.
Kuiko Movie Review:-
Kuiko is a slice-of-life dramedy film that follows Thangaraj (Vidaarth) as he is removed from his job as a teacher to catch the IPL live at Chepauk. He needs money to do so and approaches his uncle Panbazhagan (Muthukumar), a good-hearted money lender. Thangaraj is then tasked with moving an ice box to a remote village where an old lady has passed away. He must stay until the dead woman’s son, Malayappan (Yogi Babu), returns.
Director Arul Chezhian immerses the audience into the world of naive and ordinary people, similar to many Malayalam films today. The film offers numerous small pleasures, including quirky characters, humour, and performances that feel rooted enough for the characters to care for them.
There is even a romantic song set to a Tamil version of the title track of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai! Both Vidaarth and Yogi Babu appear as characters in the universe, rather than protagonists. Ilavarasu plays a solid role, and the film manages to keep the audience engaged despite the lack of a storyline in the latter portions.
