“Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video” is a film about a young physics teacher who becomes a victim of public humiliation and scrutiny after an explicit video of her dancing with half-naked men is leaked. The film takes a darker turn when she goes missing and is presumed dead. Investigator Bela (Nimrat Kaur) investigates the case, including Sajini’s fiancé Siddhant (Soham Majumdar), school-affiliated staff members, and her family members.
The film addresses a sensitive topic with sincerity, highlighting the helplessness and despair individuals face when their private lives are exposed in the public, especially in the age of social media. However, the overuse of heavy and feminist lines and the importance of fact-checking and refraining from passing judgments or engaging in mindless gossip can destroy lives.
The film’s cast, including Radhika Madan as Sajini’s fiancé, Bhagyashree as the school principal, Sumeet Vyas as Siddhant’s lawyer, and Marathi actor Subodh Bhave as Sajini’s father, play their parts well. While the film builds enough tension and suspense about Sajni’s whereabouts, the big reveal in the climax is somewhat underwhelming.
