Fallen Leaves Movie Review:-

Fallen Leaves is a delightful cinephile comedies directed by Finnish director Aki Kaurismäki, featuring foot-tapping rock’n’roll and a romantic and sweet-natured tone. The film follows Ansa, a woman who finds herself in a karaoke bar and meets construction worker Holappa (Jussi Vatanen). Their relationship is heartfelt, but they face a series of mishaps that could potentially end their relationship. Holappa is a drinker, possibly an alcoholic, and his booze brings out his nasty side, which he doesn’t appreciate.

The characters occasionally turn on the radio for news about the Russian attack on Ukraine, filling the listener with resentment, depression, and defiance. Kaurismäki intends to make the audience realize that Finland is on the border with Russia, and fear of Putinism is not as distant as it might be in the UK, America, or Germany. The war is clouding Finland’s sense of wellbeing, but Finns are still intent on carrying on.

Fallen Leaves is a film with a big heart, filled with absurd and cartoony elements that fill viewers with a feelgood glow. It should be adored by Finnish film fanciers, who will also enjoy the silent cameo from Finnish director and Cannes competition veteran Juho Kuosmanen. The movie is a movie with springtime in its heart, and it is suitable for everyone, especially those who love the protagonist Ansa (Alma Pöysti) and the hero and heroine.
