Nageswara Rao’s (Ravi Teja) upbringing in Stuartpuram takes a dark turn as he becomes engaged in the criminal world. Based on the true story of famed thief Nageswara Rao, this novel methodically recounts his travels. From his unscrupulous escapades in the 1970s, which earned him the moniker ‘Tiger,’ to his transition into Stuartpuram’s hero and savior.

Tiger Nageswara Rao is a captivating film that blends crime and redemption, featuring a grand storytelling style reminiscent of recent cinematic biggies. The film’s visual appeal is commendable, but the second half loses its grip, especially in the drama and emotion sequences. Ravi Teja, a versatile actor, delivers an outstanding performance as Tiger Nageswara Rao, showcasing his charisma and conviction. The supporting cast, including Anupam Kher, Nupur Sanon, Renu Desai, Jisshu Sengupta, Murali Sharma, Hareesh Peradi, Gayatri Bharadwaj, Sudev Nair, and Anukreethy Vas, also deliver commendable performances.
The film’s first half is gripping with shades of grey surrounding Nageswara Rao’s character, while the second half presents a redemptive arc, transforming him into a savior driven by noble intentions. However, the film’s lengthy runtime and excessive violence may be overwhelming for some viewers. Technically, the film excels with warmer and darker hues for intense action and vibrant tones for romantic facets. GV Prakash’s music, Madhie’s cinematography, and Kolla Avinash’s production design elevate the film’s larger-than-life persona. Despite its flaws, Tiger Nageswara Rao manages to leave a lasting impact, largely due to Ravi Teja’s stellar performance and the ensemble cast’s collective brilliance.
